    What it reads
    Public election pages published by state and local election offices: election calendars, notices, candidate lists, sample ballots, and results. Nothing behind a login and nothing personal.
    How politely
    • It obeys robots.txt and identifies itself as EveryElectionBot.
    • Requests to each site are spaced out by a per-site rate limit.
    • Conditional requests (ETag, Last-Modified) so unchanged pages cost almost nothing.
    • Most pages are checked daily or less; it backs off after errors.
    Why
    To list every election a voter is eligible for, with each date linked back to your page as the source. We never republish your documents wholesale.
    Ask for a change
    To change how often we visit, point us at a better page or feed, or stop us, use the contact page and choose “Crawler”. Election offices get a same-day response during election periods.
