What this is

Every Election is a free, nonpartisan listing of elections, deadlines, and ballots, compiled from official sources. It is a convenience, not an official record.

Check with your election office

We work to keep every date and name accurate and link each one to its source, but offices change things and we can be wrong or late. Before you rely on a deadline, polling place, or ballot, confirm it with the office that runs the election. We are not liable for decisions made on information shown here.

Using the data

Calendar feeds, embeds, and the public API may be used by anyone, including newsrooms, libraries, schools and campaigns, provided you do not misrepresent where the data came from or suggest that we endorse you.

Heavy automated use needs an API key; see for election officials and partners.

Your account

Keep your phone secure; codes sent to it sign you in. Do not use the service to harass anyone, to submit false reports, or to probe or overload it. We may suspend accounts that do.

Third-party content

Some pages show links to official sites and prices from third-party prediction markets. We do not control those sites, and market prices are not our view or a forecast.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date above changes when we do.
